About the artist

Alexandra Mills is an Australian artist who graduated from the National Art School, Sydney with degrees in sculpture.

Her work typically involves interpreting images from life, memory or photographs and museum archives by combining painting and drawing mediums with foraged or salvaged materials.  This approach often results in work that crosses distinctions between two- and three-dimensional forms with the purpose of drawing attention to things that might otherwise go unnoticed or be forgotten.
